Manchester Wine Festival — second year — 100% volunteer-run21+ · ID checked at the gate

Using this site

You are welcome to read, share and link to anything on this site. Please do not try to break into it, scrape it wholesale, or use it to send anyone unsolicited mail. The photographs, text and marks on these pages belong to the festival, to Nature’s Market, or to the businesses who supplied them, and are not free for reuse without asking.

The festival itself

The Manchester Wine Festival is a one-day event in Manchester Center, Vermont, planned for Saturday 7 November 2026, held indoors at the Manchester Community Library, organised by Nature’s Market and run by volunteers.

It is restricted to people aged 21 and over. Photo identification is checked at the gate, and anyone who cannot produce it will not be admitted, whatever they confirmed on a form. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who is unsafe to themselves or to other guests, and Vermont law obliges us to stop serving alcohol to anyone who is intoxicated.

Details on this site — the wineries pouring, the seminar programme, the number of tables, the hours — are what we expect on the day, not a guarantee. Weather, licensing and the ordinary business of a one-day event can change them. If the festival is postponed or cancelled we will say so here and to everyone on the mailing list.

Tickets

Festival tickets and seats at events such as the blind tasting are sold on this site. These terms of sale apply to every booking.

  • Payment. Card payments are taken by Square. Your card details go to Square and never reach us. A booking is confirmed only when Square confirms the payment; you then receive an email with your booking number and a QR code.
  • Prices. The price is the one shown when you pay. Early-bird prices end on the date or after the number of tickets stated, whichever comes first.
  • Entry. A booking admits the number of guests on it, once each. Every guest must be 21 or over and show photo identification at the door. Keep your QR code to yourself: the first scan is the one that counts.
  • Refunds. Tickets and event seats are non-refundable. If the festival is cancelled, every booking is refunded in full to the card it was paid with. There is no refund for anyone refused entry for being under 21 or for having no valid ID, and none for a booking that is not used.
  • Ticket texts. If you ask for your ticket by text, we text it (with a picture of the ticket) to the number you give, for that booking only.

Joining the mailing list does not reserve or hold a ticket.

The text list

If you tick the text box when you sign up, Nature’s Market texts Manchester Wine Festival news and updates to the mobile number you give: up to 4 texts a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop, or HELP for help; you can also use Remove my details. Joining is not a condition of buying tickets. Texts are sent from Nature’s Market’s number, as the festival organiser.

Applying to exhibit or volunteer

Sending an application is not acceptance of it. The vendor and volunteer forms create a record that a person then reads. You are part of the festival when we tell you in writing that you are, and not before — not when the form says thank you, and not when you receive an automatic acknowledgement.

Please give us accurate information; we plan the site, the licensing and the roster from it. Vendors pouring or selling alcohol are responsible for holding the licences Vermont requires of them, and for their own insurance and their own staff. Volunteers must be 21 or over, because every role can involve being near alcohol service.

If you create a vendor account, keep the password to yourself and tell us if you think somebody else has it. We may close an account that is being misused.

The charity ballot

The profit from wine sold at the festival goes to a local cause chosen by the guests who attend. Every guest gets one ballot, the count closes when the festival does, and the result is published afterwards. To appear on the ballot an organisation must be a registered charity and must work in this corner of Vermont; anyone may nominate one, including you.

Two honest qualifications. “Profit” means what is left from wine sales after the wine and the cost of serving it are paid for, and we will publish the figure. And a nomination is not a place on the ballot — the shortlist is drawn from what we receive and has to be a length a room can actually vote on.

Photography at the event

We take photographs and video at the festival, and we use them afterwards on this site, in the gallery, and in social posts and press about the event. By attending you accept that you may appear in them. If you would rather not, tell a volunteer on the day or write to us afterwards and we will not use the picture.

Links out

We link to the websites of the wineries, makers and businesses taking part. Those sites are theirs, not ours, and we are not answerable for what is on them.

Where we stand on liability

We put this site together carefully and we keep it current, but we offer it as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from the use of this site — a trip planned around a date that later moved, for instance. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Vermont, United States, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Vermont.
